Murdoch University in Australia is granting the Loneragan Family Scholarship award to international candidates who are interested in obtaining a degree program at the university. The Loneragan Family Scholarship award was created to support candidates studying a major in Biological, Environmental or Marine Science.

About Murdoch University

Murdoch University is a state-owned higher academic institution in Perth, Western Australia, with campuses in Singapore and Dubai. It started operations as the state’s second higher academic institution on 25 July 1973, and took in its first undergraduate students in 1975. Its name is gotten from Sir Walter Murdoch (1874–1970), the Establishment Professor of English and past Chancellor of the University of Western Australia.

The 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings has ranked Murdoch University in the top 501-600 higher academic institutions in the world. The QS World University Rankings ranked Murdoch University in the top 571–580 higher academic institutions in 2021. Webometrics ranked Murdoch University at #590 globally.

The 2018 Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) recognised that Murdoch University graduates had the highest level of employability of all Australian schools after three years of graduating, at 96.7%.

Eligibility for Loneragan Family Scholarship at Murdoch University

To be eligible for the Loneragan Family Scholarship, applicants must;

  • Be registered in honours or the final year of your program at Murdoch University
  • Be admitted in Biological, Environmental or Marine Science
  • Possess a good academic record with a distinction average or greater
  • Demonstration of community service
  • Experiencing personal and financial hardship.
  • prove their English language adeptness by IELTS with 6.5 and TOEFL with minimum 90 test scores.
