The International Transfer Merit Scholarship awards are granted to candidates who have displayed strong academic accomplishment, and exceptional talent or accomplishments in one or more of the following areas: math and sciences, the arts, community service, extracurricular undertakings, innovation, leadership, or entrepreneurship.

How to Apply for Merit Scholarships at Iowa State University

Candidates should first put in to a full-time undergraduate program at the university for the 2021/22 academic year to be given consideration for the scholarship award. When applicants are granted admission, they can thereafter apply for the scholarship award through their official website.

With Iowa State University’s new OneApp scholarship award portal, undergraduate candidates can submit scholarship award applications in one system. The Office of Student Financial Aid, academic colleges and departments, and other campus units (ex: Student Affairs Central Office, Program for Women in Science and Engineering, Student Accessibility Services, etc.) will make use of the information obtainable in OneApp to select scholarship award beneficiaries.
